Roast Meat Loaf - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
1/4 tsp. dried thyme leaves
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 c. milk
1/4 c. sour cream
1 c. soft white bread crumbs
2 lb. ground round
2 Tbsp. finely chopped onion
2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
1/4 tsp. finely chopped garlic
6 slices bacon
1/2 c. chili sauce
1 Tbsp. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. dry mustard
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0. In a large bowl, beat eggs with salt, pepper, thyme and nutmeg until well mixed. Stir in milk, sour cream and bread crumbs. Let stand 5 minutes so that bread crumbs can absorb moisture. Add ground round, onion, parsley and garlic. Mix lightly until blended. Turn mixture into a large baking pan. Moisten hands with water and shape mixture into an 8 x 3 x 2 1/2-inch loaf. Place bacon strips over top. Bake 45 minutes. Remove bacon strips, if desired; reserve for another purpose.
