Navy Beans Pottage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. navy beans, soaked overnight
    1/4 of small head cabbage (2 oz.)
    2 oz. pumpkin
    3 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 bay leaf
    1 batch sofrito (see Sauces)
    3 c. water
    2 to 3 tsp. salt
    1/2 lb. potatoes
Preparation
    Make sofrito and cook for about 3 minutes.
    Add bay leaf, softened beans (either soaked overnight or cooked 30 minutes in a pressure cooker) and water.
    Cook on medium heat.
