Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. Kellogg's Bran cereal
    1 1/4 c. milk
    1 egg
    1/3 c. shortening or vegetable oil
Preparation
    Sift flour, baking powder, salt and sugar together; set aside. Measure cereal and milk into a large bowl.
    Stir to combine; let stand for 1 to 2 minutes until cereal is soft.
    Add egg and shortening or vegetable oil.
    Beat well.
    Add flour mixture, stirring only until combined.
    Portion batter evenly into 12 greased muffin cups.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
