Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. bread cubs (day old or older)
    4 c. milk
    pinch of salt
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    4 eggs
    3/4 c. raisins (optional)
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Scald milk; pour over bread.
    Add vanilla, sugar, salt, butter and slightly beaten eggs; mix well.
    Add raisins.
    Pour into greased casserole.
    Sprinkle with nutmeg or cinnamon.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven in pan of water for at least 1 hour, until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
