Gingerbread(Makes 1 Loaf) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs
    1 c. brown sugar
    3/4 c. shortening
    2/3 c. molasses
    1 c. boiling water
    2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour, unsifted
    2 tsp. baking soda
    2 tsp. ground ginger
    1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. ground cloves
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Blend eggs and brown sugar well.
    Add shortening and molasses and stir until creamy.
    Stir in the boiling water until well blended. Separately mix remaining ingredients together.
    Add to sugar mixture, blending well.
    Pour batter into a well-greased 9 x 5 1/2 x 4-inch loaf pan and bake until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean (about 1 hour).
