Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. shelled raw peanuts
    1 c. white corn syrup
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. granulated sugar
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. fresh baking soda
Preparation
    Grease platter first.
    The size of the platter will depend on how thick or thin you like your brittle.
    Mix all ingredients except peanuts and baking soda in saucepan.
    Cook on medium heat until sugar dissolves.
    Add the peanuts and continue cooking, stirring constantly, until peanuts are light brown.
    Remove from heat and stir in the baking soda quickly.
    Immediately spread on greased platter.
    Cool and break into pieces to serve.
