Chicken And Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    4 Tbsp. shortening
    3 eggs
    1 c. milk
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients to biscuit dough consistency.
    May add flour if needed.
    Roll out dough on floured surface; cut into strips about an inch wide.
    Boil chicken; take chicken out of broth to cool.
    Drop strips one at a time into boiling chicken broth; keep pushing down dumplings.
    Boil for about 20 minutes. You may cut pieces of chicken and add to dumplings.
