Five-Hour Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. stew meat, cubed
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
    4 Tbsp. tapioca
    3 onions, chopped
    1/2 green pepper, chopped (optional)
    6 carrots, sliced
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 c. chopped celery
    4 potatoes, diced
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients together in a heavy kettle or large baking dish (no need to brown meat).
    Cover and bake 5 hours at 250\u00b0. Stir once during baking.
    (If desired, cook in crock-pot instead for 12 to 14 hours on low setting.)
