Alice Maxey'S Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. 100% bran cereal
    2 c. All-Bran cereal
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. margarine
    2 eggs
    2 1/2 c. unsifted flour
    2 c. buttermilk
    2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over cereal and sit aside.
    In another bowl, cream together sugar and margarine.
    Add eggs and beat. Sift together flour, soda and salt.
    Add to sugar and margarine mixture the flour mixture, cereal and buttermilk, alternately. Bake in muffin tins at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Dough will keep 5 weeks in refrigerator.
