Mom'S Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter or 1/2 lb. butter and 1/2 lb. margarine
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    8 eggs
    3 c. plain flour
    1 c. self-rising flour
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Have all ingredients at room temperature.
    Heat oven to 300\u00b0. Grease and flour tube cake pan.
    Measure and sift flour together. Set aside.
    Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, 2 at a time, blending at least 1 minute after each addition.
    Add vanilla; blend 2 more minutes.
    Pour into tube pan.
    Bake 1 1/2 hours.
