Rich Chocolate Almond Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 stick unsalted butter, softened
2 egg yolks
2 Tbsp. water
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 eggs
3/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla extract
6 Tbsp. melted butter (liquid)
1 c. chopped almonds
Preparation

Mix together first 6 ingredients.
Spread dough on greased 9 x 12-inch cake pan.
Prick dough and bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes. Remove from oven.
Sprinkle chocolate chips over dough.
Place in oven again and bake for 3 minutes until chocolate melts.
Remove from oven.
Using spatula, spread melted chocolate over dough evenly.
Beat eggs with sugar; stir in vanilla and melted butter. Pour over cake, spreading evenly.
Sprinkle chopped nuts over cake.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
Cool cake and cut into squares. Makes approximately 24 to 32 squares.
