Ma'S Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. milk
    4 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 pinch of salt
    butter (the size of an egg)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 c. peanut butter
    1 c. nuts (if desired)
Preparation
    Mix and cook first 5 ingredients.
    Cook until a drop of mixture forms a hard ball in glass of cold water or until mixture stays on top of cold water.
    Take mixture off stove; quickly add vanilla, peanut butter and nuts if desired.
    Pour immediately into buttered loaf pan and let cool.
    Cut in squares.
    Do not cut until totally cooled.
