Noodles Florentine - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. egg noodles
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. milk
    2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese (8 oz.)
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped spinach, cooked and well drained
    1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
    buttered bread crumbs
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Cook noodles according to package directions.
    In medium saucepan, melt butter and stir in flour and salt, blended with milk.
    Bring to the boiling point, then simmer, stirring constantly, until sauce is thickened, about 5 minutes. Stir in cheese, stirring constantly, until melted.
    In greased 2-quart oblong baking dish, layer 1/2 the noodles, then spinach, mushrooms and 1/2 sauce.
    Top with remaining noodles and sauce; sprinkle with bread crumbs.
    Bake for 25 minutes, or until bubbling.
    Makes about 8 side dish servings.
