Ingredients
    4 skinless boneless chicken breast halves
    1/4 c. soy sauce
    1/4 c. dry sherry
    1 Tbsp. fresh basil or 1 tsp. dried
    6 to 8 cloves, garlic, minced
    1 Tbsp. honey
    2 tsp. grated ginger root
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
    1/4 tsp. five-spice powder
Preparation
    Cut each chicken breast halve lengthwise into 4 long strips (16 total).
    In a large nonmetal bowl, combine soy sauce, sherry, basil, garlic, honey, ginger root, pepper, crushed red pepper and five-spice powder.
    Add chicken strips and stir to coat. Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature or 4 to 24 hours in the refrigerator.
