Reuben Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 oz. bacon, diced
    8 oz. butter
    4 oz. celery, diced
    4 1/2 oz. green onions
    10 oz. flour
    5 qt. water
    3 oz. chicken base
    1 oz. ham base
    1 (27 oz.) can sauerkraut, chopped
    12 oz. corned beef, cut
    1/2 oz. caraway seed
    8 oz. Swiss cheese (medium sliced)
Preparation
    Cook bacon, do not drain.
    Add melted butter, celery and onions and saute for 2 minutes.
    Add flour until well blended, about 2 to 3 minutes.
    Remove from heat.
    Add water, chicken and ham base, sauerkraut, corned beef and caraway seeds.
    Heat and gently boil for 8 to 10 minutes.
    Add cheese and heat to simmering for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
