Barbara'S Overnight Buns - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. milk
    2 pkg. yeast
    1/2 to 3/4 c. sugar
    1 egg
    7 3/4 c. flour
    1/2 c. melted shortening
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    In separate bowl, mix together 3 3/4 cups flour, salt, baking powder and soda.
    Scald milk and sugar, then cool.
    Add yeast in milk (set for 5 minutes).
    Then add beaten egg, melted shortening and 4 cups flour.
    Cover.
    Let stand 1/2 hour.
    Then add the 3 3/4 cups flour mixture.
    Place mixture in refrigerator overnight.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
    Lightly grease top of each bun.
