Chicken And Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 5 lb. chicken (whole or cut into parts)
    5 Tbsp. margarine
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. black pepper
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. water
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    In large pot, cover chicken with water and boil slowly until tender.
    Remove chicken to platter.
    Add salt, pepper and margarine to broth.
    Simmer to blend seasonings.
