Rice Pilaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. finely diced onions
    1/2 c. finely diced celery
    1/2 c. finely diced carrot
    2 c. rice
    3 c. chicken broth
    1/2 c. golden raisins
    1/4 c. toasted almonds
    2 Tbsp. butter
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Saute vegetables in butter in a pot large enough to hold all ingredients.
    Add rice and stock.
    Stir.
    After 5 minutes, add raisins and stir again.
    Cook slowly, covered, for 10 minutes until rice is tender.
    Add almonds, season and serve.
    Can be served hot or cold.
