Wendy Mccurdy'S Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 eggs
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1/2 pt. whipping cream
    2 qt. whole milk
Preparation
    Beat eggs until well-blended.
    Blend eggs and sugar.
    Heat milk over low heat, add eggs and sugar.
    (Cook in heavy pan, stirring constantly until it thickens or coats metal spoon.)
    Do not scald or boil.
    Add whipping cream and vanilla as you pour into freezer.
    Pour into freezer, not too full because it swells. Divide recipe in half for 1/2 gallon freezer.
