Engagement Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. margarine or butter
2 c. 10x sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. all-purpose flour and 3 Tbsp. cornstarch or 3 c. cake flour
1 c. milk
4 eggs
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Cream margarine.
Gradually add 10x sugar.
Cream well.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
Blend in vanilla. Sift together flour, cornstarch, salt and baking powder.
Add milk alternately with the dry ingredients to creamed mixture, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
Blend thoroughly after each addition.
