Tart Green Beans With Bacon - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. green beans
    4 slices bacon, cut in 1/2-inch pieces
    1/3 c. finely chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. water
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
Preparation
    Wash and cut off ends.
    Cut green beans into crosswise pieces. Cook 15 to 20 minutes or until tender.
    Frozen or canned may be substituted.
    Follow directions on package or container for cooking.
    Pan brown bacon.
    Add to skillet the onion, vinegar, water, sugar, salt and pepper.
    Bring to boil.
    Simmer 30 minutes. Drain cooked green beans and toss lightly together.
    Yields 4 servings.
