Apple Pan Walnut Cake(This Is A Pillsbury Bake-Off Recipe From 1966.) - cooking recipe

1 can apple pie filling
2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
2/3 c. cooking oil
3/4 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

Spread pie filling in 9 x 13-inch pan.
Combine flour, sugar, soda and salt.
Sprinkle over the pie filling. In a mixing bowl, combine the eggs, vanilla, oil and 1/2 cup nuts; mix well.
Pour over the ingredients in pan and stir only until evenly blended. Smooth batter in pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 50 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly touched.
Make a topping and pour over the cake while hot.
