Duke Fitness Center Chili(With Or Without Beans) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 oz. ground round steak
    8 oz. ground turkey
    1 c. chopped sweet onion
    1 c. chopped bell pepper
    2 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 Tbsp. fresh oregano or 2 tsp. dried
    2 fresh garlic buds or 1/4 tsp. powder
    48 oz. can low-salt tomatoes (I use Mexican blend tomatoes or stewed tomatoes)
    4 Tbsp. dried or fresh parsley
    2 c. fresh mushrooms (more if you like), thinly sliced
    1 can red kidney beans (the last 30 minutes of cook time, if you want beans)
Preparation
    Brown meats in Dutch oven.
    Remove and place in colander.
    Run very hot water through meat to remove fat.
    Drain.
