Fresh Coconut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. plain flour
    6 egg whites
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. milk
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 Tbsp. baking soda
    1/3 c. sugar
Preparation
    Cream shortening and 1 cup sugar.
    Mix flour and baking soda together.
    Add flour alternately with milk to sugar and shortening mixture.
    Beat egg whites with 1/3 cup sugar; fold into batter. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
