Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c shortening
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c sugar
    1 t vanilla
    2 3/4 c flour
    1 t soda
    2 t cream of tartar
    1/2 t salt
    1/3 c sugar
    2 t cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix shortening, eggs, sugar and vanilla together.
    Sift and add to first mixture, flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt.
    Form into small balls.
    Roll balls in mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
    Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 400 F for 8-10 minutes.
    Cookie dough may be chilled and kept before rolling into balls for baking.
