White Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    2 Tbsp. flour
    dash of black pepper
    1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of paprika
    1 c. milk or part milk and 1 tsp. cream
Preparation
    In a double boiler (or saucepan over low heat), melt butter; add flour, pepper, salt and paprika and stir until blended smooth. Slowly add milk, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
    Cook, stirring, until smooth and thickened.
    Makes 1 cup.
