Vidalia Onion Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 large onions, sliced
    1 c. shredded cheese
    8 to 12 saltine crackers (Captain's wafers, Waverly wafers)
    butter
    3 Tbsp. canned milk
Preparation
    Slice onions and pull apart. Saute in butter until soft but not brown. Roll out crackers and put in skillet with melted butter.
    Layer buttered crumbs, onions and grated cheese in casserole, ending with crumbs on top.
    Sprinkle canned milk over top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
