Hamburger Steak With Onion Gravy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. hamburger or ground deer
1 egg
1/2 pkg. onion soup mix
1 slice bread crumbs
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Mix beaten egg, onion soup mix, bread crumbs, salt, pepper and hamburger to mixture.
Shape into patties and slowly cook until doneness desired.
Add sliced onion on top of hamburger about 5 minutes until done.
Remove patties from pan.
With drippings, add mixture of flour and remaining onion soup mix.
Stir until slightly brown.
Add 1 cup water or more if needed.
Turn on low heat; add patties back into gravy.
Cover and simmer about 10 minutes.
Serve with mashed potatoes or rice.
