Boiled Coffee - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. ground coffee
    1 c. cold water
    1 egg white, slightly beaten
Preparation
    Combine and stir all the ingredients.
    The egg shell
    may be added to the mixture.
    So may a pinch of salt.
    Pour over these ingredients 4 cups freshly boiled water.
    Boil the coffee for 3 or 4 minutes.
    Stop the spout of the coffeepot with paper.
    Set the pot on back of the stove.
    Cut down the grounds from the sides and add 1/4 cup cold water and permit the coffee to stand for 10 minutes before serving it.
