Banana-Nut Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. grated orange peel
    1 c. mashed bananas
    2 Tbsp. milk
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Stir thoroughly the first 4 ingredients.
    Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs and peeling; beat well. Combine bananas and milk; add to creamed mixture alternately with flour mixture, beating just until smooth after each addition.
    Stir in nuts.
    Turn into greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes.
    Makes 1 loaf.
