Fresh Coconut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. Crisco
    2 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    3 c. plain flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix
    all
    ingredients
    and
    beat
    at
    least
    5 minutes. Grease and flour 3 cake pans.
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Bake for 25 minutes.
    Cool and frost with 7 minute frosting.
    While you are making your frosting, boil 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar for 8 minutes.
    Stir
    in\t1
    cup of fresh coconut.
    Spoon on each layer before you put frosting on.
    This makes the cake moist. Frost with
    Seven
    Minute
    Frosting.
    I
    use
    2 fresh, grated coconuts or\t2
    packages of fresh, frozen coconut, to which I add 1 cup of confectioners sugar.
