Mints - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/3 c. water
1/2 stick butter
1/4 tsp. oil of peppermint or other flavoring
Preparation

Cook about 15 minutes, without stirring, until a drop in cold water will crack.
Add flavoring.
Pour onto a
cold, buttered marble slab.
As it begins to cool, pull with hands and cut.
