Jumble Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1 1/4 c. flour
    1/3 c. cocoa (unsweetened)
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1 Tbsp. corn syrup (clear)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    5 oz. applesauce or baby prunes
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 c. coconut
Preparation
    Combine dry ingredients.
    Add in all other ingredients except nuts and coconut.
    Beat well.
    Blend in nuts and coconut.
    Pour in well greased 13 x 9-inch pan (or double recipe and use a cookie sheet and 8-inch round pan).
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes. Cut while warm.
