Mulligatawny Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. oleo
    1 medium carrot, diced
    1 medium onion, diced
    1 stalk celery, diced
    1 green pepper, diced
    1 medium apple, diced
    1 c. cooked chicken, diced
    1/3 c. flour
    1 tsp. curry powder
    2 c. stock
    1/8 tsp. mace
    2 whole cloves
    1 c. tomatoes
    parsley
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    In a heavy kettle, saute in oleo, carrot, onion, celery, green pepper, apple and chicken.
    Stir occasionally until onions are tender.
    Stir in gradually, flour, curry powder, stock, mace, whole cloves, tomatoes, parsley and salt and pepper to taste. Simmer, covered, for 1/2 hour.
    Vary amounts of vegetables and chicken to taste.
    Serves 6 to 8.
