Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. flour
    3 Tbsp. water
    2 c. whole milk
    3 eggs, separated
    1/3 stick margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. coconut
Preparation
    In saucepan, mix 1 cup sugar, flour and water.
    Stir until moistened.
    Add 2 cups milk and 3 egg yolks.
    Place on stove and cook until thick, stirring constantly.
    When thickened, add margarine, vanilla and coconut.
    Cool.
    Pour into baked and cooled pie shell.
    Beat 4 egg whites with dash of cream of tartar until peaks form.
    Add 3 tablespoons sugar.
    Beat until stiff.
    Put on top of pie.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 until brown.
