Bran Muffins(Makes 6 Dozen Muffins) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. All Bran
2 c. Shredded Wheat (3 large biscuits)
1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. margarine
3 c. sugar or l lb. brown sugar
5 c. flour
4 eggs, beaten
4 1/2 tsp. soda
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 qt. buttermilk
1 c. chopped dates or raisins
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Combine cereals; add hot water.
Cream sugar and margarine. Add eggs and cereal mix.
Sift dry ingredients in large bowl; add dates or raisins, nuts.
Mix dry ingredients alternating with buttermilk.
Yields one gallon batter.
Store in refrigerator in airtight container for up to 6 weeks.
Bake as desired at 400\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
