Mary'S Yeast Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. milk
    2 pkg. active dry yeast
    1/2 c. warm water (110~ to 115~)
    1/2 c. sugar
    6 Tbsp. shortening
    2 tsp. salt
    6 to 8 c. sifted flour
    2 eggs, well beaten
Preparation
    Scald milk.
    Soften yeast in warm water and let stand 5 to 10 minutes.
    Pour scalded milk over sugar, shortening and salt in a large bowl.
    When lukewarm, stir mixture.
    Add 1 cup flour and softened yeast mixture; mix well.
    Add 3 cups flour, beat until smooth.
    Beat in eggs.
    Then add enough remaining flour to make a soft dough.
    Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface.
    Let rest for 5 to 10 minutes, before starting to knead.
    Knead dough for about 5 to 8 minutes.
    Form into a large ball.
    Place in large greased bowl.
    Cover and let stand in a warm place until dough is doubled (about 1 hour).
