Melt-In-Your-Mouth Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 egg, unbeaten
    2/3 c. milk
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together and cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal.
    Pour milk in slowly; add egg and stir well.
    Knead on lightly floured surface.
    Roll 1/2-inch thick. Place on cookie sheet.
    Bake for 10 to 15 minutes in 450\u00b0 oven.
