Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream shortening, sugar and eggs together until light and fluffy.
    Combine flour, cream of tartar, salt and soda.
    Stir into cream mixture.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Chill at least one hour.
    Shape dough into balls.
    Combine 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon, mixing well.
    Roll each ball in cinnamon mixture.
    Place on greased cookie sheet and flatten cookie slightly.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
    Do not overbake!
