Hamburger Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 large onion
    4 to 5 carrots, sliced
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 c. chopped green pepper
    1 lb. ground meat
    2 c. tomato juice
    3 to 4 medium potatoes, diced
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. seasoned salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/3 c. flour
    1 qt. milk
Preparation
    Melt butter in a large saucepan or Dutch oven.
    Add onion, carrots, celery and green pepper.
    Cook until tender, but not too brown.
    Add beef; cook until crumbly.
    Stir in tomato juice, potatoes and seasonings.
    Cover and cook over low heat until vegetables are tender, 20 to 30 minutes.
    Combine flour with 1 cup milk.
    Beat until free of lumps.
    Stir into soup mixture.
    Add remaining milk; heat, stirring frequently, but do not boil.
    Makes 10 servings.
