Beef Rouladen - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 thin slices sirloin roast
2 medium onions
10 slices bacon
mustard (optional)
Preparation

Lay out beef on waxed paper.
Dice onions and cut bacon in pieces.
Saute onions and bacon.
Place onions and bacon pieces on a paper towel to remove the fat.
Spread thin layer of mustard on beef slices (optional).
Put equal amounts of onions and bacon pieces on each slice of meat.
Roll each slice of meat into a roll and secure with a toothpick.
Brown each piece of meat on all sides.
Pour water over meat and let simmer for 1 1/2 hours.
Take meat out of liquid and thicken gravy with flour or cornstarch. Season gravy to taste.
