Sweet Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 gal. thinly sliced cucumbers
    1 1/2 c. pickling lime
    water sufficient to cover cucumbers
    2 qt. vinegar
    2 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. pickling spice
Preparation
    Soak cucumbers in lime dissolved in water for 24 hours.
    Rinse well and soak in clear water for 4 hours or overnight.
    Combine vinegar, 2 cups water, salt and spices.
    Then soak cucumbers in cold vinegar solution for 4 hours or overnight.
    Boil 40 minutes. Pack in jars and seal.
