Abenaki Summer Squash Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 summer squash (medium)
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1/8 tsp. oregano
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. broth (beef or chicken)
Preparation
    Dice a squash but do not peel.
    Saute in butter with seasonings.
    Keep pan covered and do not allow to brown.
    When soft, puree, then add the broth and simmer for 15 to 30 minutes.
