Nassau Grits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. grits
    1/2 lb. bacon (less if you like)
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 bell pepper, chopped
    1 c. cooked ham, ground or diced very fine
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can tomatoes or 3 medium tomatoes, chopped
Preparation
    Cook grits by package directions.
    Fry bacon and drain.
    Brown onions and pepper in bacon drippings.
    Add ham and tomatoes and cook down.
    Mix with grits.
    Put in greased 1 1/2-quart casserole and top with crumbled bacon.
    Bake 30 to 45 minutes at 325\u00b0.
