Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. round steak
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1 onion, sliced
    1 large green pepper, cut in strips
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 Tbsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. hot water
    2 Tbsp. soy sauce
    cooked hot rice
Preparation
    Cut steak in narrow strips, brown slowly in oil about 15 minutes.
    Add
    onion
    slices (separated in rings).\tSeason with salt and pepper.
    Stir and cook 5 more minutes.
    Add hot water. Cover
    and simmer until meat is almost done;
    about 30 minutes. Add
    green\tpepper\tstrips\tand cook 10 more minutes.
    Uncover. Add
    mixture
    of
    cornstarch,
    water
    and
    soy
    sauce, stirring together.
    Bring to a boil stirring constantly for 5 minutes or until thickened.
    Serve over rice.
