Broccoli Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large bunch fresh broccoli
    1/4 c. minced onion
    1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    6 pieces crisp bacon or 1 (2 oz.) jar bacon bits
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. vinegar (preferably apple cider)
Preparation
    Wash broccoli and break bud clusters into bite size pieces. In a small bowl, mix other ingredients, except bacon, and pour over broccoli.
    Toss well to mix.
    When ready to serve, mix in the bacon bits.
