Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs, beaten
    2 c. brown sugar
    1 c. butter or margarine
    3 c. jam
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    3 1/2 c. plain flour
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 1/2 c. nuts (choice)
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream sugar and margarine.
    Add beaten eggs, jam and buttermilk; beat well.
    Sift together all dry ingredients.
    Add to mixture.
    Add flavoring and nuts; stir to blend.
    Pour into a greased pan and bake about 1 1/2 hours or until done, in a 325\u00b0 oven.
