Corn Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. shortening
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 egg, beaten
    1 1/4 c. milk
    1 c. sifted flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. cornmeal
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add egg and milk.
    Add flour, baking powder and salt.
    Add cornmeal, stirring only enough to mix.
    Fill 2/3 full and bake 25 minutes at 425\u00b0.
    Makes 1 dozen.
