Sweet Potato Pone - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 (17 oz.) cans yams
1/4 c. melted butter
2 eggs
1/4 c. light brown sugar
1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. light molasses
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. ground cloves
Preparation

Mash yams; stir in butter.
In separate bowl, beat eggs.
Add sugar; beat thoroughly.
Add milk, molasses, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves; beat until well blended.
Stir mixture into mashed yams.
Turn into buttered casserole dish.
Bake, covered, for about 50 minutes, or until heated throughout.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
