Macaroni And Cheese - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. macaroni (uncooked)
    1 lb. Cheddar cheese
    1 2/3 c. milk
    2 eggs, well beaten
    3 Tbsp. butter
    salt and pepper to taste
    paprika
Preparation
    Cook macaroni until tender in rapidly boiling, salted water. (If sides and edges of pan are oiled or buttered, macaroni will not boil over.)
    Drain.
    In well buttered baking dish, place a layer of macaroni.
    Sprinkle with cheese cubes.
    Sprinkle with few grains salt and pepper (2 or 3 pinches of flour may be added here, if desired).
    Dot with butter.
    Make another layer in the same order but omit flour.
    Make third layer, ending with cheese on top.
    Dot with butter and sprinkle paprika over cheese.
    Whip eggs in medium size bowl.
    Add milk and few grains pepper.
    (If salt is added, use sparingly.)
    Mix together and pour over macaroni and cheese.
    Buttered bread crumbs may be sprinkled on top if desired. Bake in moderate oven (375\u00b0) for 30 to 40 minutes or until cheese has melted and is lightly browned.
